Welcome Back!

Welcome back everyone! We hope you have all had a brilliant summer!

Wow! We are into our second week of school already! The children have come back to school with a fantastic attitude, ready to learn!

We look forward to the rest of the Autumn term!

Anderton Centre!

What a weekend we have had at the Anderton Centre in Rivington!

The children in Year 5 were absolutely amazing! We are so proud of your behaviour, effort and enthusiasm during all of the activities! You were a credit to Wood Fold.

Wood Fold Sport!

Wow! A huge congratulations to all of the children who have taken part in our recent sporting events! We are very proud of your achievements and you should be too!

In Hockey, the team did exceptionally well! They displayed some marvellous hockey skills and techniques. Player of the tournament went to HC for his excellent defence at the back!

The children got their football campaign under way with a fantastic performance against the other teams in the local area. Out of the three matches played, the children won 2 and drew 1, once again setting up a nice undefeated streak. We are now top of the league! Man of the match goes to DH for his brilliant defensive role and an overall solid performance.

In Rugby, player of the tournament went to TC for his brilliant leadership role and expertise during each game. A superb performance from the team!

Finally Cross Country! Despite the wet, muddy and damp conditions, the team performed exceptionally well in both the girls and boys cross country run, held at Leigh Sports Village. All children performed exceptionally well! A big congratulations goes to AW who finished in 22nd place and LA, who finished 12th out of 130 boys! Well done team!

We took part in many activities such as abseiling, kayaking, zip wire and archery! Both the children and teachers had a brilliant week working on problem solving, collaboration and teamwork!

Well done Year 6!
